Where can I access Dún a Rí Forest Park?

Dún a Rí is situated north of Kingscourt, Co. Cavan on the R179, the road to the town of Carrickmacross. It is also just a short drive from fascinating heritage sites like Carrickmacross, Kells and Newgrange.

When can I access Dún a Rí Forest Park by car?

Car park opens: 9am
Car park closes: 4:30pm (winter), 6:00pm (summer)

Is there a fee for parking?

Yes, the daily parking fee is €5 per car - Coins Only (50cent, €1 and €2 accepted)

Annual: €40.00 Access Card. The Access Card is valid in all Forest Parks listed on the Coillte website The Access Card is also valid for Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Centre To Purchase Or Renew Your Annual Access Card Click Here
